Morgado & Cª. S.A. is an importer and distributor of electric and electronical materials for industry and construction markets, being on the market for 39 years, with more than 9,500 items in stock, and meeting the most stringent quality standards.
Morgado & Ca., Lda was founded on the 18th April 1977 in Oporto and it gradually and safely developed an activity that is based on the full customer satisfaction, which, at that time, was an innovative concept.

In the 1990s MORGADO & CA expands National Coverage with the acquisition of a subsidiary company in Coimbra and a few years later in Lisbon. Moving its head office to Circunvalação Road, in Oporto, allowed to ensure the necessary solidity and credibility.
With the entry into the new century MORGADO & CA, LDA is recognized by S.G.S. ICS - International Certification Services as a certified company according to the NP EN ISO 9001, under the system of Quality.
The year 2006 was particularly important for MORGADO & CA, LDA with the opening of a Professional Showroom in the field of decorative lighting along with the legal transformation into a public limited company on the 16th October, being renamed Morgado & C ª, SA, and its share capital, fully paid-up, changes to € 750,000.00, majority-owned by the founding partner Engineer Carlos Morgado and his brother Engineer Vasco Morgado.
In 2009, Morgado & Ca, in order to meet its customers’ needs, creates the company Performance in Lighting Portugal SA, dedicated solely to the lighting industry. This way it was possible to continue the long years of presence in this market but now with a much more comprehensive range of solutions that have allowed the accomplishment of several projects in different areas.
In August 2010, MORGADO & CA., S.A. with its enterprising spirit, starts looking for new markets, particularly in the African continent, launching an internationalization process that has been consolidated in the following years. The consolidation of Morgado & Ca in African territory has been achieved through its teams’ technical expertise in developing innovative solutions together with an excellent service which is able to meet its customers’ most demanding needs.
